Designed to be
read slowly.

This site uses a bold visual system, but the underlying structure stays ordinary: landmarks, headings, real links, keyboard focus, readable contrast, and motion that can be reduced.

Keyboard and focus

All navigation, buttons, support links, and disclosures are native links or buttons. A visible red focus outline appears when an element receives keyboard focus. The left rail collapses into a compact bar on small screens without removing destinations.

Motion preferences

The page uses short reveal transitions and a View-Transitions-aware structure without requiring animation for comprehension. If your system requests reduced motion, reveal effects are made immediately visible and transitions are disabled.

Try it

Turn on your system’s “Reduce motion” preference, reload, and the page remains fully readable.

The reading-mode button changes the surface contrast and is stored locally in your browser. It does not send a preference to a server.

Color and print

Body text uses a high-contrast ink/paper palette. The accent red is not the sole carrier of meaning; table labels, headings, and link text also carry structure. The design intentionally survives a black-and-white printout because the ledger is meant to be useful away from the screen.
